Januel Gomez-Colon

Januel is currently a compliance officer at Goldman Sachs. He received his Bachelor’s in Quantitative Analysis of Markets and Organizations at the University of Utah and was inducted into the Beehive Honor Society, Utah’s oldest honor society. As a Utah RDAC Council Member, he helps to inform state lawmakers on how policies impacts the rare disease community and provides input on incoming legislation. Born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Januel has experienced the many facets of having a disability. Previously, he has competed internationally in adaptive skiing and successfully spearheaded policy efforts to expand access to Medicaid. He hopes to continue bringing down barriers to access and advocating greater equity for disabled Utahns.
