The Disability Law Center is seeking a full-time, bilingual (English/Spanish) Receptionist to support the three agencies housed at the James B. Lee Justice Center — Disability Law Center, Legal Aid Society, and Utah Legal Services.
This position is based in Salt Lake City and is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Compensation: $19–$20 per hour, depending on experience (DOE), plus a competitive benefits package.
Position Summary
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, providing professional, courteous, and efficient front desk support to all three agencies. This role is essential in maintaining a welcoming and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls; provide basic information as needed
- Greet clients and visitors; direct and announce them appropriately
- Maintain office security by following established procedures, monitoring visitor logs, and issuing badges
- Sort and distribute incoming mail for all agencies
- Maintain and update reception directories
- Perform general clerical duties, including:
- Opening and closing client cases
- Printing weekly conference room calendars
- Entering client satisfaction surveys
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a receptionist or similar administrative role
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful, proactive, and solution-oriented
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
