Ruthena Hensley

Ruthena is a Certified Peer Support Specialist with over five years of experience helping and supporting individuals in her community. Ruthena is an individual who has lived experience with PTSD, depression and anxiety. She has been a member of Alliance House since 2017 where she served a two-year term as a member representative. Ruthena has also dedicated her time and support to the following boards: Advantage Services, Utah Association of Peer Support Specialists and Utah Mental Health of America. Ruthena currently volunteers her time with the Utah Shattering Silence Coalition, Centenary United Methodist Church and the PAIMI Advisory Council. In addition to her volunteer efforts, Ruthena enjoys traveling, music, singing, dancing, movies, plays, exploring parks and playing Pokémon Go. Ruthena has two beautiful daughters, four grandchildren and feels blessed to be where she is in her own recovery.
