What if I did not find a resource that helps with my particular issue?
If you were unable to find a helpful resource, please contact our office for assistance. In addition, the DLC is always interested in learning about what resources we may need to develop, so please consider providing public input.
What if I have additional questions? Can I speak directly with an attorney?
You are always welcome to seek help from our office if you have additional questions. Unfortunately, not all issues meet our specific criteria, and only those that do will rise to the level of meeting with an attorney. However, our intake advocates will help determine if your specific set of facts meets our criteria, and, if not, they will find an appropriate referral or resource.
What if the DLC is unable to help with my issue?
Refer to our list of external resources for other organizations that may be able to help.
Am I able to share these resources with the party I am working with and am I allowed to copy the sample language for an accommodation request?
Yes, the DLC encourages self-advocacy, and these resources are available to help individuals advocate for themselves and their rights.
